You may have noticed in previous blog posts, I’ve mentioned one of my favorite podcasts — Nicole Antoinette’s Real Talk Radio, which she describes as “the podcast that’s filled with refreshingly honest conversations about the wonderful mess of being human.”

Real Talk Radio’s Season 11 is available today, and I’m super excited by the line-up of interviews. And if you choose to listen to the conversation with Karen Wang, you’ll get a bonus mini-interview with me at the end!

So, to what do I owe my podcast debut?

I had the chance to talk with Nicole for this mini-interview as a Patreon supporter of the podcast. If you haven’t heard of Patreon, it’s a great platform that allows people to directly support individuals and creative projects. Nicole has chosen to make the show 100% listener supported, so there aren’t any ads, and uses Patreon to do this.

Especially with the long-form interview style Nicole uses, I think this decision is critical to the listener experience. Ads would really interrupt the momentum of the show. As it is, you feel like you’re sitting around with a few friends, having deep conversations over coffee or tea or your beverage of choice.

So, I’m thrilled to support this great show that has given me hours of inspiration. And I’m excited (and a little nervous) to have my voice out in the wild. If you want to learn a little bit more about why I love coffee, some of my inspirations, and how I’d spend a free $100, give it a listen. I’d love to hear what you think 🙂
